Nelson, Sullivan

William and Suzy Nelson of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Suzanne, to Jamie C. Sullivan, son of Jerry and Anita Sullivan of Columbus.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at 3 p.m. at Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
Miss Nelson is the granddaughter of Janet Byrd, Wadell and Fran Byrd and Mae Ward, all of Meridian. She is the great-granddaughter of Bessie Kate Garrison of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School and is attending Meridian Community College, where she is a cheerleader.
Miss Nelson is employed by Collinsville Early Childhood Development Center and Fishes and Loaves Christian bookstore.
Mr. Sullivan is the grandson of Otis and Louise Summerford of Amory, and Charles and Betty Jo Sullivan of Okolona. He is the great-grandson of Nettie Tarver of Amory and Inez Ogg of Okolona.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of New Hope High School and is attending Meridian Community College.
Mr. Sullivan is employed by UPS and is the minister of students at Calvary Baptist Church.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
