Carpenter, Rigdon

Susan Gabrielle Rigdon and William Thomas Carpenter III, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, May 18, 2002, at the Church of the Way, with the Rev. Jack Giles officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Gary Rigdon of Meridian, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Kasper of Pachuta, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Carpenter of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Joyce Skinner, the late John A. Rigdon and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Oliver.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mary Nell Carpenter, Mr. and Mrs. H.L. "Pete" Denton, and the late W.T. "Sonny" Carpenter.
Nuptial music was provided by Dusty Culpepper, violinist; Thomas Box, guitarist; and Rebekah McCay and Heather Pass, soloists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of organza over satin featuring a sweetheart neckline and beaded bodice. The A-line skirt flowed into a chapel-length train. Her organza veil fell from a beaded tiara and she carried a clutch bouquet of white roses.
Toni Lewis of Meridian served as matron of honor. Other attendants were Misty McCay, Amanda Hodges and Lauren Lewis, all of Meridian, Lacey Harris of Nashville, Tenn., and Susan Harris of Knoxville, Tenn.
Allison Lewis of Meridian was flower girl.
Matthew Carpenter of Meridian served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Brian Lyles, James Wood, Miles Foster, Jeremy Alexander, Peter Carpenter, Joey Hollern and Rusty Warden, all of Meridian, and Judd Smith of Nashville.
Rice bag attendants were Lindsey Beard, Jordan Davis and Dallas Riley.
Guest book attendant was Stevie Moorehead and gift table attendant was Taylor Anderson.
A reception was held in the family life center following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Leanne Jackson, Kim Ball, Amanda Henderson, Suzanne Poole and Lauren Touchton.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple resides in Meridian.
