Ballard, Phillips

Keith Ballard of Meridian and Chandra McLean of Munford, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Shauna Alisa Ballard, to John McKinley Phillips, son of Les and Nina Phillips of Memphis, Tenn.
The wedding will be held Saturday, July 27, 2002, at Crestview Baptist Church in Memphis.
Miss Ballard is the granddaughter of Sam and Faye Ballard of Enterprise, and Charles and Faye Reid of Daleville.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Memphis.
While attending college, she was a member of Phi Sigma Pi Honor Fraternity, Delta Gamma sorority and Christians on Campus.
Miss Ballard is employed as a research assistant with the University of Memphis.
Mr. Phillips is the grandson of the late Eugene and Helen Phillips of Water Valley, the late Clinton Beal of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., and the late Lily Newsom of Memphis, Tenn.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Kirby High School and received an associate's degree in computer engineering from the State Technical Institute.
Mr. Phillips is a computer technician.
A reception will be held at the Lichterman Nature Center following the ceremony. Attendance by written invitation only.
