Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Adkins of Union announce the engagement of their daughter, Jana Marie, to Jonathan David Thornton, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Thornton of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, June 29, 2002, at 1:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Union.
Miss Adkins is the granddaughter of the late Herman R. Adkins Sr., Robert and Verla Reeves Richards of Linwood, the late Charles A. Lewis Sr., Sonny Warren and Bonnie Warren of Meridian.
Mr. Thornton is the grandson of the late Hardy Buckley and Sarah Buckley of Hickory and the late Tennis Thornton and Maggie Thornton.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
