Foley said she returned from grocery shopping to find her home on fire and there were indications that it may have spread from a nearby controlled burn. Chunky Volunteer Fire Department was first to respond with assistance from Hickory and Duffy VFDs. Strong rain also helped put out the fire, officials said.
