Walker, Thornton

John and Bonnie Walker of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Mae Nicole, to Neil Thornton, son of Cliff Thornton of Trinity, Ala., and Suzi McDill of Decatur.
The wedding will be Saturday, June 29, 2002, at 4 p.m. at Clarke Venable Memorial Baptist Church in Decatur.
Miss Walker is the granddaughter of Charles T. McMullan of Decatur and the late Emma Mae McMullan, and Billie Jean Walker of Tylertown and the late Charles Lee Walker.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Newton County High School and East Central Community College. She currently attends Mississippi State University-Meridian campus, majoring in general business administration.
She is employed with Union Planters Bank of Meridian.
Mr. Thornton is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Horton of Union, and the Rev. and Mrs. Clifton Thornton of Lawrence.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Newton County Academy and East Central Community College. He is employed with Kansas City Southern Railroad of Meridian.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
