Woman dies in morning wreck

A Lauderdale County woman was killed early today when her car left the road in a curve and struck a pine tree.
Maj. Ward Calhoun, a spokesman for the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department, said Louise Boyd, 70, of the Vimville community died in a one-vehicle accident that happened sometime before 5 a.m. today on Shiloh-Vimville Road, near the intersection of Long Creek Road.
Calhoun said she was driving a 1990 Pontiac Bonneville. The accident is under investigation by the reconstruction unit of the sheriff's department.
