Parten, Hatcher

Janet Cox and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Parten of Cuba, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Rhonda Marie, to Robert Edwin Hatcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Hatcher of Cuba, and the late Ellen L. Hatcher.
The wedding will be held Saturday, June 8, 2002, at 3 p.m. at York Baptist Church.
Miss Parten is the granddaughter of the late George and Elsie Parten of Cuba, Lorena Cox of Sylacauga, Ala., and the late John Cox.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Sumter Academy in York, Ala., and received her degree in early childhood education from Meridian Community College.
Miss Parten is employed with Barbara Henson Nursery School and Swim Gym in Meridian.
Mr. Hatcher is the grandson of the late Gatewood and Amy Hatcher of York, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Linthicum of Texas, and the late Ellen Linthicum of Emelle, Ala.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School and Hopson Technical College in Thomasville, Ala. He is employed with York Packaging.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
