The wind on Okatibbee Lake was about the same on Sunday as it was on Saturday, between slim and none.
But the races did make it into the book and Meridian's Robbie Harrison along with shipmate Tyler McDonald took home the gold for the Crusin' Class in the State Games of Mississippi's sailing competition.
Matt Barrett and Troy Buckalew teamed up to win the gold in the Open Center Board sail class.
For Harrison, it was his first gold medal in the event. He won the silver last year.
This year, it was a combination of a good boat, a good crew and improved sailing skills.
Leo Potvin, whose boat and crew picked up the silver medal, said Harrison had a good boat for the conditions.
Joining Potvin on his boat were Janice and Leslie Potvin. The boat of John Marshall and Suzanne Poole took the bronze out of a five-boat field in the crusin' class.
Harrison was appreciative of the efforts of McDonald, a 13-year-old ship mate.
Barrett, whose small sailboat was the only open center board boat in the race, said his medal still required a lot of sweat.
