EDMOND HOMER DUPONT SR.

A private family service for Edmond Homer Dupont Sr. will be held today at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in the Tucker Community, with Father David Hamm officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dupont, 87, of Meridian, died Monday, May 20, 2002, at Heartfelt Hospice. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Pollender Dupont of Meridian; daughters, Rosalie Leo and her husband, Bob, and Irene Stark, all of Meridian, Linda Gordon of Northboro, Mass.; sons, Edmond Dupont Jr. and his wife, Margo, of Holyoke, Mass., Raymond Dupont of Florida, Ronald Dupont and his wife, Jane, of Worcester, Mass.; a daughter-in-law, Donna Dupont of Florida; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Armand Dupont of Granby, Mass., and George "Jackie" Dupont of Brattleboro.

LOU ELLA LOVETTE
GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Lou Ella Lovette will be held today at 11 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Billy Long and Clovis Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Mosley Cemetery.
Ms. Lovette, 70, of Mobile, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at USA Medical Center in Mobile.
Survivors include her brothers, Amon L. "Hank" Lovette of Irvington, Ala., James C. Lovette of Lisman, Alex J. Lovette of Coffeeville and Henry F. Lovette of Toxey; sisters, Catherine L. Ford of Yantley, Charline L. Thompson of Semmes and Mary Ann L. Linder of Gilbertown.
RUSTY RICHARDSON
PHILADELPHIA Services for Rusty Richardson will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel, with the Rev. Tony Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Jackson.
Mr. Richardson, 47, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Laird Hospital in Union.
Survivors include a son, James Austin Richardson of Hattiesburg; three sisters; an aunt and uncle, Euylas and Mary Richardson of Philadelphia.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
WILLIAM HENRY LAVENDER

YORK, Ala. Services for William Henry Lavender will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Boligee Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Raymond Colgrove officiating. Burial will be in Mesopotamia Cemetery in Eutaw. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lavender, 79, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, in Atlanta. He was born in Binnsville and graduated from Kemper County High School. He later graduated from East Mississippi Junior College before joining the Army.
He and his family moved to Boligee in 1940 where he farmed for a while and then went into sales, retiring in the early 1980's from Northrup-King Company. He will be remembered for his sweet and giving nature and his love of children.
Survivors include his four children, Tom Lavender and his wife, Sunee, of Tuscaloosa, Rick Lavender of Boligee, Lisa Foley and her husband, Chuck, of Marietta, Ga., and Dodie Lavender of Memphis, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Chris and Ashley Hamilton of Memphis, Tenn., Meredith Lavender of Destin, Fla., Chad Lavender of Tuscaloosa, and Nick and Grant Foley of Marietta; three sisters, Mary Russell, Erma "Shug" Hitt of Boligee and Neenie Long of Okalona; and a brother, Buddy Lavender of Boligee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Lavender; and a sister, Ella "Snooks" Ozment.
Memorials may be made to the Alabama Children's Hospital Foundation, 1600 7th Ave. South, Birmingham, AL 35233 or St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 318, Memphis, TN 38101.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
