DEKALB Services for Katherine W. Moore were to be held today at 10:30 a.m. at Scooba Methodist Church with the Rev. John Wood officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Moore, 92, of Scooba, died Sunday, May 19, 2002, at Riley Hospital. She was a member of Scooba Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Hortence McMurtry of Scooba; her son, Harold Moore and his wife, Kyla Moore, of Scooba; grandchildren, Sue McMurtry of Quitman, Teresa and Randy Williams of Meridian, Malinda and Bobby Sciple of Scooba, Janice and Louis Watt of Geiger, Ala., Lance Jenkins of Scooba; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Moore.
Pallbearers were Mose Fleming, Charles Fleming, Mark Fleming, Jimmy Thomas, Charlie Irby, Charlie Roberson, and Jason Thomas.

Mr. Wallace, 51, of Macon, died Saturday, May 18, 2002, in Noxubee County.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Fraizer of Noxubee; a son, Billy Wallace of Philadelphia; daughters, Mary Wallace of Philadelphia, Annie Wallace of Walnut Grove and Athena Wallace of Philadelphia; brothers, Will Wallace and R.B. Wallace, both of Macon, Stewart Wallace, Leonard Wallace and Archie Wallace, all of Philadelphia; a sister, Lorene Joe of Philadelphia; and an uncle, Hubert Wesley of Alabama; and an aunt, Rosie Thompson of Philadelphia.
Visitation will be in his home prior to the service.

MOBILE, Ala. Services for Jane Miller Harding will be today at 2 p.m. at Pinecrest Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matthew J. O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Harding, 85, of Mobile, died Saturday, May 18, 2002, in Daphne, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Alfred Harding, and a daughter, Barbara Harding O'Connor.
Visitation will be today 1 p.m.-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Norris, 45, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 16, 2002, in Philadelphia.
Survivors include his mother, Helen Tention of Philadelphia; his father, Clinton Norris of Prentiss; two sisters, Mary Edwards and her husband, Clifton, and Shirley Nash and her husband, Dwight, and a brother, Marvin Norris, all of Philadelphia; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

BUTLER, Ala. Graveside services for Samuel J. Boykin will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Boykin, 83, of Butler, died Monday, May 20, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired Civil Service employee from the inventory warehouse. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Boykin of Butler; sons, Douglas Ammons of Mobile and Gordon Ammons of Thomasville; daughters, Jeanne Parker of Semmes and Rachael Boykin of Butler; a brother, Roy T. Boykin of Butler; sisters, Flossie Ivy of Baton Rouge, La., Flora Pearl Modica of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., Rachael Carpenter of Butler, Mary Jo Deskin of Butler and Opal Black of Mobile.

Mrs. Walters, 46, of the Zero Community, died Saturday, May 18, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Ray Walters of Zero; a son, Thomas Ray Walters of Meridian; three daughters, Carol L. Swanner, Billie "Sissy" Emerson and Lacie Brie Walters, all of Meridian; four brothers, Donald D. Ross Jr. of Meridian, Darrell L. Ross of New Hampshire, Duane A. Ross of Japan and David B. Ross of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Kaylin Briana Comans, Kurstyn Bailey Comans, Kaleb Ray Walters, Tyler Bounds, Austin Emerson and Maranda Diane Ra Emerson, all of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Dale Ross Sr. and a daughter, Maranda Ann Whittley.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Ross, Duane Ross, David Ross, Jacob Matlock, Lance Miles and Mark Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Bounds and Ronald Emerson.

Survivors include his sisters, Patricia Jones of Tennessee, Deborah Jones Johnson of Meridian and Laura Jones Davis from St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Bryant Jones of Meridian and Elbert Frank Jones of Charlotte, N.C.; and his maternal grandmother.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Mrs. Bateman, 75, of Starkville, formerly of Meridian, died Monday, May, 13, 2002, at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was a retired proofer for Merchants and Farmers Bank in Meridian.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil Lamar Bateman of Starkville; a daughter, Pamela Louise Egan of Spring, Texas; a son, Ronald Scott Bateman of Fort Payne, Ala.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
