Mr. and Mrs. Kary F. Williams of Scooba announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Catherine, to Richard Lamar Stennis, son of William L. Stennis of DeKalb and Doris M. Hatcher of Collinsville.
The wedding will be held Saturday, May 18, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Scooba Baptist Church.
Miss Williams is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clay Williams of Scooba and the late Mr. and Mrs. D.O. Chastain of Elberton, Ga.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Kemper Academy and East Central Community College. She received a bachelor's degree in business administration, with an emphasis in management, from Mississippi State University.
Miss Williams is employed at East Mississippi Community College in Scooba.
Mr. Stennis is the grandson of Annie G. King of DeKalb and the late George L. Stennis; Miriam Gilbertson of Macon and the late Irving Gilbertson.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Heritage Academy and East Mississippi Community College. He received a degree in agriculture information sciences, with an emphasis in education, from Mississippi State University.
He is employed at Dixie Electric Products in DeKalb.
