A Clarke County woman remained in the critical care unit today at University Medical Center following an accident earlier this week that killed the driver of a motorcycle.
Tammy P. Hickson, 38, 94 County Road 31, was the passenger on a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Harry Bergeron, 47, County Road 31 in Heidelberg. The motorcycle collided with a Ford pickup on Highway 11 near Enterprise on Tuesday.
Sgt. Ronnie Carter, a Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman, said the driver of the pickup, Thomas Leo Dorsey, 64, of Port Neches, Texas, was not seriously injured in the 10:18 a.m. accident.
Carter said today that his agency is still investigating the accident.
Carter said that Bergeron was found dead at the scene and that Hickson was taken to UMC. A hospital spokesman said today that Hickson was in fair condition and her vital signs were stable.
