Annie Get Your Gun' opens Thursday at MLT

Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show with its famous marksmen Annie Oakley and Frank Butler, show girls, cowboys and Indians sets up its tent at the Meridian Little Theatre on Thursday.
The play continues through May 8.
The Tony award-winning Irving Berlin family musical is directed by Jimmy Pigford and stars Angela White as Annie Oakley and Earl Aycock Jr as Frank Butler the fast shooting rivals who fall in love.
The cast of 40 accompanied by Carey Smith and a 13 piece orchestra will sing "There's No Business Like Show Business" along with many other Berlin songs. Carol Merrill has choreographed the dance routines.
Feature players are Tom Fair as Buffalo Bill, Brad Matherine as the West West Show manager, Jennifer Williams as Frank's assistant, David Miller as Chief Sitting Bull and Derek Pouncey as Pawnee Bill, the owner of a rival show. Annie's brother and sisters will be played by Austin Bond, Sarah Fair, Jennie Fisher and Morgan Patterson.
Guest tickets for "Annie Get Your Gun" can be purchased at the Meridian Little Theatre Box Office, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Adults are $18, students, senior citizens and military are $16. This play is offered as a bonus to those wishing to purchase a season. They will pay $7 for "Annie Get Your Gun." For more information, call the box office at 482-6371.
