    JULIANNE HOLT OILSCHLAGER

    Graveside services for Julianne Holt Oilschlager will be held today at 12:30 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Merrill Wade officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Oilschlager, 80, of Meridian, died Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and a member of the Junior Auxiliary.
    Survivors include her husband, Carl A. Oilschlager of Meridian; a son, Kenneth H. Oilschlager and his wife, Kay, of Lexington, Ky.; two grandchildren, Anne Kristina Oilschlager and Mary Frances, both of Oxford.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie and Julian Holt.
    The family requests memorials be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or the American Cancer Society.
    CHARLIE EDWARD MOORE
    GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Charlie Edward Moore will be held today at 2 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Billy Crowe and Mike Boutwell officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery.
    Mr. Moore, 65, of Gilbertown, died Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at the University Medical Center in Jackson.
    Survivors include his wife, Margaret G. Moore, a son, Jimmy Moore and his wife, Shelia, all of Gilbertown; a brother, David Moore of Needham; sisters, Shirley Jenkins of Gilbertown, Lois Malone of Cromwell, Essie Pearl Shirley of Citronelle, Sarah Jane Jenkins of Tillman's Corner and Edna Grace of Theodore; and three grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Moore.
    ZARA THORNTON MILLER
    Homemaker
    BUTLER, Ala. Services for Zara Thornton "Bunny" Miller will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Williams officiating. Burial will be in Butler City Cemetery with Bumpers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Miller, 80, of Butler, died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at Willow Trace Nursing Center.
    Survivors include a daughter, Zara Golightly of Butler; sons, Paul O. Miller III and his wife, Carolin, of Jackson and Dr. Thornton Miller and his wife, Sandra, of Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Kathleen English of Bennetsville, S.C.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to the service.

    Retired salesman
    Services for Clarke "Doc" Thornton Jr. will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with the Rev. Jerry Daniels officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Thornton, 79, of Meridian, died Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Mr. Thornton served in the Pacific with the 1st and 3rd Marine Division and was a drill instructor at Paris Island in South Carolina. He also served on a peace keeping mission in China.
    Mr. Thornton served with the 1st Marine Division in Korea with the 155th Howitser Battalion, Battery C and retired as a sergeant.
    He begin his sales career with Owen Brothers Packing Co. and retired from Bill's Institutional Commissary in Flowood after 25 years in sales. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, an avid Mississippi State sports fan and member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
    Survivors include a son, Clarke Thornton III of Meridian; daughters, Annell Holland and her husband, Mitch, of Flora, Sharon Shephard and her husband, Elvin, of Butler, Ala., and Marsha Hannah and her husband, Bubba, of Meridian; a sister, Sarah Vining of Meridian; grandchildren, Angela Logan of Pearl, Shea Shephard of Birmingham, Emily Shephard of Butler and Trey and Dallas Hannah of Meridian; several nieces, nephews and countless special friends and family.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarke Thornton Sr. and Regina Perry Thornton; and a sister, Regina Thornton.
    The family requests memorials be made to Disabled American Veterans or St. Patrick Catholic Church.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    LARRY W. COLE
    Retired
    Services for Larry W. Cole will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark United Methodist Church in Daleville with the Revs. Theodore Cole and James Morris officiating. Burial will be in Daleville Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Cole, 51, of Meridian, died Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at The Speciality Hospital of Meridian.
    Survivors include four sisters, Donna Jones and Alfredia Smith, both of Chicago, Earline Mosley of Meridian and Ruby Proctor of Memphis; four brothers, Booker T. Cole Jr. of Chicago, Fred Cole, Leon Cole and Theodore Cole, all of Meridian.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Visitation will be Friday 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home of Newton for Jewel H. Brand, 90, of Hickory, who died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at Laird Hospital in Union.
