Meridian police make arrest in robbery case in robbery case

The Meridian Police Department arrested a local man Tuesday on robbery and burglary charges in a six-month-old investigation.
Earnest M. Stevens, 31, of 1108 26th Ave., was charged in a case dating back to October 2001, said Detective Deano Harper, MPD spokesman. Harper said the case involved a suspect who entered a house, but declined to release additional information.
