Former operator of Gilbert Cleaners
Graveside services for Kathleen Roberts Gilbert will be held today at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Robert Horel officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gilbert, 86, of Meridian, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at Beverly Heath Care. She was past member of Meridian Little Theatre and King's Daughters and Sons Earnest Workers Circle. A member of Central Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a sister, Lola Lamb of Little Rock, Ark.; a brother, Malcolm Roberts of Commerce, Ga.; a nephew, John Kaiser of Dallas; and a niece, Sandra Butler of Brandon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Gilbert.
BESSIE E. DANIELS

PHILADELPHIA Services for Bessie E. Daniels will be held today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. Dwight Faulkenbery and Hugh Martin officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Daniels, 97, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, in her home.
Survivors include her daughter, Lois Jenkins and a sister, Bonnie Cumberland, both of Philadelphia; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Daniels.
ELAINE GUNN GRISSOM

Graveside services for Elaine Gunn Grissom will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Revs. Edward McKeithen and John Coch officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Grissom, 84, of Meridian, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons, Jackie Grissom and his wife, Linda, of Collierville, Tenn., and Jerry Grissom and his wife, Avis, of Meridian; a grandson, Jerry Grissom of Birmingham, Ala.; granddaughters, Paige McDonald, J.J. Haarala, Aspen Grissom and Kelley Futch; four great-grandchildren, John Michael McDonald, Rodney Warren McDonald, Ridge Haarala and Lauren Haarala; a brother, Edward Gunn of Bailey; sisters, Margaret McKeithen of Eight Mile, Ala., Frances Grissom of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Carleen Miles of Center Hill and Jewel Cox of Pensacola, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Harrington Grissom.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Miles, Clifton Miles, Dennis Gunn, Charles McKeithen, Don McKeithen, Keith Cox, Richard Cox, David Grissom and Will Hudson.
Visitation will be today 1 p.m.-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
LAUREN PAIGE MCDONALD AUTRY

Services for Laurie M. Autry will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church of Meridian with the Rev. Dr. Tom Sikes officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Autry, 36, of Meridian, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center. She was a graduate of Meridian High School, attended Mississippi State University and graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a degree in physical therapy. Mrs. Autry was the director of Outpatient Physical Therapy at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a life-time member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, James William "Bill" Autry; her mother, Donna Kerby McDonald; her grandmother, Marcella Kerby; her grandfather, Reginald McDonald Sr.; her sister, Karrie Goodman and her husband, Billy; a brother, Kerby McDonald and his wife, Jennifer; her nieces and nephew, Alyssa and Cassie Goodman and Sam McDonald. Other family members include Karen and Lee Meyer Jr., Adam and Melissa Davis and Lea and Thomas McCracken.
She is also survived by her husband's family: his parents, Sylvia and Jimmy Autry; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C.A. "Skeeter" Lang; a brother, Andy Autry; a sister, Katie Autry; a brother, Paul Autry and his wife, Michelle, and their children, Dustin, Seth and Sally Ann. Of special survival note are her beloved god-children and her dogs, Daisy and Max.
She was preceded in death by her father, Reginald McDonald Jr.; her grandfather, Conan Kerby; and her grandmother, Mary Lee McDonald.
The family requests memorials be made to First Christian Church for the Laurie M. Autry Memorial Fund for Special Needs Children, Mississippi Special Olympics or the Lauderdale County Humane Society.
Pallbearers will be Scott Morgan, Pete Willis, David Gilmore, Charlie Busler, Kyle Temple and Irby Lang.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Outpatient Rehab Department at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the church.
MARY J. MASON
Retired homemaker
Services for Mary J. Mason will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Bodka Valley Baptist Church in Scooba with the Rev. Marcus Laurence officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mason, 95, of Scooba, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, in North Little Rock, Ark.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
REBECCA JOYCE WILSON BEAN

Services for Rebecca Joyce Wilson Bean will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Ms. Bean, 60, of Meridian, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Bean and his wife, Sjanna, of Collinsville, and Jason Bean and his wife, Heather, of Meridian; grandchildren, Victoria Bean and Cody Bean; her mother, Ruth Wilson of Meridian; sisters, Dorothy White and her husband, Lemmie, and Sue Holley, all of Meridian, and Lou Ross and her husband, John, of DeKalb; brothers, S.L. Wilson Jr. and his wife, Pat, and Clark Wilson Sr. and his wife, Vicki, all of Meridian; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, S.L. Wilson Sr.
The family requests memorials be made to Gideon's.
Pallbearers will be Clark Wilson Jr., Kevin Wilson, Josh Ross, Lance White, Steve White, Richie Little, Benji Hammond and Billy Knight.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
BEULAH PEARL VANCE

UNION Services for Beulah Pearl Vance will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Erin Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Charles Morrow officiating. Burial will be in Evans Tabernacle Church of God Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Vance, 80, of Union, died Monday, April 8, 2002, in her home. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Goss of Lake; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T.B. Vance.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-9 p.m. and Wednesday 8 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
