Matthews, Hoeniges

Dr. and Mrs. James C. Matthews Jr. of Bailey announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie, to Andrew Hoeniges, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome C. Hoeniges of Brookhaven.
The wedding will be Saturday, June 8, 2002 at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Meridian.
Ms. Matthews is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James C. Matthews Sr. of Bailey and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hendon J. Beckham of Mobile, Ala.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School. She will graduate in May from Mississippi State University in Starkville with a degree in elementary education.
At MSU, she is a member of the Baptist Student Union and Golden Key National Honor Society.
Mr. Hoeniges is the grandson of George Hoeniges and the late Mrs. Hoeniges.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Brookhaven High School. He will graduate in May from Mississippi State University with a degree in corporate finance.
At MSU, he is a member of Baptist Student Union and intramural sports. Mr. Hoeniges is employed by Wal-Mart SuperCenter.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
