DEKALB Services for Ruby Kathleen Johnson will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Scooba Baptist Church with the Revs. Randy Rigdon and James Johnson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Scooba with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Johnson, 86, of DeKalb, died Friday, March 29, 2002, in DeKalb.
She was a native of Wahalak and a member of Scooba Baptist Church.
Survivors include her four sons, James William Johnson and his wife Tommie Lou of Port Charlotte Fla., Neely Vaughn Johnson and his wife Martha Ann of Scooba, Glenn Ray Johnson of Bay St. Louis, and Terry Jack Johnson and his wife Lisa of Pinola Ala.; three sisters, Jewell Stegall of Lauderdale, Annie Lois Hutcherson of Geiger, Ala., and Doris Britton of Eutaw Ala.; 10 grandchildren, Pamela Rhett of Nashville, Tenn., Angela Williamson of Atlanta, Christie Keyser of Port Charlotte, Fla., James Johnson Jr. of Tocoa, Ga., Neely R. Johnson of Scooba, Lacey Dean and Amanda Thomas of Huntsville, Ala., Christopher Johnson and Curtis Ray Johnson of Kennedy, Ala., and Stacey McNeil of Louin; and eight great grandchildren, Jordan Rhett, Benjamin Rhett, Claudia Rhett, Amanda Dean, Sarah Thomas, Mary Neely Thomas, Abby Grace McNeil and Tate McNeil.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Neely Johnson Jr.; one brother, Willard Vaughn; and parents, Chester and Annie Vaughn.
Visitation will be today from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Otis Hutcherson, Henry Warren, Johnny Harpole, Tony Adkins, Ronnie Britton, David Vaughn and Thomas Clay Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Watt, Bunky McDade, Eddie Sparkman, John Harpole and Otis Martin.

NEWTON Services for Geraldine Fick will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Decatur United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fick, 85, of San Antonio, Texas, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at Brighton Nursing Home.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
RUBYE DYESS BROWN

RIDGELAND Services for Rubye Dyess Brown will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Wright and Ferguson Parkway Chapel. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Meridian with Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Brown, 90, of Jackson, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. She was a retired sales lady with the Lerner Shop in Meridian.
Mrs. Brown was born in Wayne County, the daughter of the late William Cicero Dyess and Sarah Frances Gandy Dyess. She was a longtime resident of Meridian and moved to the Jackson area in 1987.
She was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Young and her husband Robert of Jackson; three grandchildren, Renee Fleming and her husband Eric of Thomasville, Ala., Rob Young and his wife Ginny of Madison, Randy Young and his wife Melody of Ridgeland; and three great-grandchildren, Lauren Young of Madison, Denton and David Young of Ridgeland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ellis Brown, who died in 1952; one daughter, Alma Virginia Brown who died in 1943; and a great-grandson, Robert Ronald Young III who died in 2000.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Madison.
Visitation will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

BUTLER, Ala. Services for Carol M. Wallace will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Red Springs Cemetery in Gilbertown, Ala.
Mrs. Wallace, 65, of Butler, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at Willow Trace Nursing Center.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Wallace of Gilbertown; two sons, Connie Wallace and Jessie Howard Wallace Jr., both of Butler; one daughter, Julie Ann Randolph of Satsuma, Ala.; one brother, Thomas Ray McCorquodale of Jackson, Ala.; and three sisters, Frances Baily of Destin, Fla., Flora Davis Chancey of Faunsdale, Ala., and Margaret of Silsbee, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tracy Lynn Wallace.
Visitation will be today from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

DEKALB Graveside services for Mamie "Watkins" Roberts will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Jones officiating. E.E. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Roberts, 74, of Flint, Mich., died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin Curtis Roberts of Flint; two sons, Calvin LaMyatt Roberts Sr. and his wife Bevely of Detroit, and Travis Bernard Roberts Sr. and his wife Charlotte of Hawthorne, Calif.; one daughter, Bertina J. Johnson and her husband Darrell Johnson Sr., of Grand Blanc, Mich.; one brother, Willie "Laven" Watkins of DeKalb; six grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
