BIRMINGHAM, Ala. Xavier pulled off a stunning upset Saturday, knocking Tennessee out of the NCAA tournament and sending the Lady Vols to their earliest exit in seven years. The Musketeers overcame top-seeded Tennessee's height advantage and athleticism with sharp shooting and outstanding team play to earn an 80-65 victory in the Mideast Regional semifinals.
ANAHEIM, Calif. Six weeks after Maryland's season seemed to be coming apart, the Terrapins are headed to their first Final Four. Lonny Baxter scored 24 points and Juan Dixon added 17 as the Terps used their superior quickness and depth to overcome Stanford's inside game and upset the top-seeded Cardinal 87-73 on Saturday for the West Regional championship.
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. Duke's been down this road before. Jason Williams scored 28 points and Shane Battier added 20 points and 10 rebounds as Duke beat Southern California 79-69 Saturday night to advance to its 13th Final Four under coach Mike Krzyzewski.

COLLINSVILLE West Lauderdale showed Tuesday night why the 1992 baseball Knights are being considered as worthy successors to coach Jerry Boatner's long dynasty of winners at the school. Boatner's team spotted Heidelberg four runs in the top of the first inning, then roared back with 10 of their own in the bottom half of same frame on the way to an 18- 6 victory, called in the fourth because of the 12-run rule.

The Detroit Lions.

Wanda McPhail
Wanda McPhail is the head tennis coach at Meridian Community College. Come Thursday, she may have to wear two hats.
That's because McPhail's daughter, Morgan, plays fast-pitch softball for East Mississippi. On Thursday, Meridian's softball team is scheduled to play East in Scooba.
When it comes to tennis, though, McPhail is all green-and-white. Her men's team is having a stellar season compiling a 9-3 record.
Morgan played tennis for her mom while at West Lauderdale High School.
