50th anniversary
Everett "Ed" and Patricia Smith recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The Smiths were married Jan. 19, 1952, in the chapel at Central Methodist Church with the Rev. M. L. McCormick officiating. They have four children, Steve Smith of Napoleon, Ohio, Luann Burns of Virginia Beach, Va., Susan McMullan of Meridian and Amy Gibbs of Marietta, Ga. Mrs. Smith is the former Patricia Joiner of Meehan. The Smiths will be honored with a party by their children at Union Station on March 16, 2002, at 6 p.m. Family and friends are invited. The couple requests no gifts.
