Clark named EMSH employee of 2001

Wanda Clark recently was named East Mississippi State Hospital's 2001 Employee of the Year.
Clark was elected by popular vote of EMSH employees from among winners of the 2001 Employee of the Quarter awards: Clark, Bobby Hunter, Barney Broach and Gloria Yarbrough.
The announcement was made Dr. Ramiro J. Martinez, the hospital's director, at a Jan. 22 luncheon honoring all employees of the quarter.
Martinez congratulated all honorees and thanked them for their service.
Bradley Sanders, Department of Mental Health board member, commended the workers.
Roger McMurtry, bureau chief of the Department of Mental Health, and Everette Kimbriel, EMSH Friends president, also offered words of appreciation.
Clark began work at EMSH in October 1994; she is a clerk-typist in the hospital's Pastoral Services Department. Her supervisor, Dr. Reid Whittington, credited Clark for making the department run smoothly.
Clark is described as a person who relates well with employees and patients. A gifted singer and pianist, she is always willing to share her musical talents at hospital activities.
Clark and her husband, James, have two sons. She is active in her local church and other Christian ministries in the community. Clark was presented with a $200 cash award, provided by the EMSH Friends Organization.
