BellSouth DSL provides growth for Meridian

Customers in the Meridian area are now able to access the Internet at lightning-fast speeds.
BellSouth is showcasing its high-speed, FastAccess Digital Subscriber Line, or DSL, Internet technology now through Tuesday at the East Mississippi Development Corp. office at 1901 Front St. in Meridian.
FastAccess DSL service allows business and residential customers to maximize their Internet usage with faster downloads, real-time interactive multimedia and voice-on-demand.
DSL provides a dedicated line that is on 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
That means Internet users would not have to dial into their Internet Service Provider or contend with a busy signal. Plus, users can surf the Web while talking on the phone.
Speeds are up to 50 times faster than a standard computer modem. Large data files, like audio clips, research documents, product literature and patient records, can be downloaded or transferred in seconds rather than minutes.
Consumers and small businesses interested in BellSouth FastAccess DSL service can find more information online at www.fastaccess.com. Or they can call 557-2537 for residential service or (888) 802-5379 for business service.
