MDOT plans highway work

Motorists could be driving on an improved Highway 19 between Vimville and the Alabama state line as early as July.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation plans to mill and overlay 9.9 miles of the highway. Work is expected to begin next month and be finished by July.
MDOT also plans to replace the weigh station off the east and west lanes of Interstate 20/59 at Kewanee Road. That project is expected to be completed by March 2004.
