MCC takes win over Ala. So.

MONROEVILLE, Ala. The Eagles of Meridian Community College used a five-run seventh inning to take an 11-6 win over homestanding Alabama Southern Community College on Tuesday.
MCC, now 5-8 on the season, took a 6-1 lead thanks to three runs each in the fourth and sixth innings, before Alabama Southern scored three in the bottom of the sixth.
Tyler Scarbrough led MCC at the plate, blasting his fourth homer of the season, as well as smacking two doubles and driving in three runs.
Nathan Sanders had two singles and his second homer of the season for the winners, while Chris Wright ripped a double and a single.
The Eagles play host to Danville Thursday at 2 p.m. in a single nine-inning game at Scaggs Field.
The winning pitcher for MCC was Chord Robinson, who is now 1-0 on the season.
