A new interior design department is one of the new services owner Becky Stubbs is offering at her longtime Meridian store Reflections of the Modern Garden.
The addition already is open. But Stubbs will sponsor a more formal grand re-opening on Friday at the 44-year-old business on Highway 39 North.
Stubbs said the interior design area will offer residential and commercial design services. She also will work with other decorators, offering discounts to fellow professionals.
That enjoyment earned her a Sensational Spaces Design Award from Mississippi Magazine, which will feature Reflections of Modern Gardens in its March-April issue.
Besides the interior design department, Reflections also has added a baby department providing infant-oriented merchandise. Reflections already sold flowers, fine china and upscale gifts.
Expansion plans began in December, Stubbs said, when a former tenant in the part of the building Reflections shared gave notice he was leaving.
Stubbs' husband, Eric, operates Modern Landscape Designs as a commercial landscape contractor in another area of the building. His services include a garden center and wholesale nursery.
Billy and Helen Stubbs, Eric's parents, started Reflections of Modern Garden Center in the North Hills Shopping Center. Helen still works with her daughter-in-law.
