CLEO HICKMAN CLAYTON
Retired school teacher
YAZOO CITY Graveside services for Cleo Hickman Clayton will be held today at 2 p.m. at Clayton Cemetery in Lauderdale County with the Rev. Ed Hurley officiating. Stricklin-King Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Clayton, 87, of Yazoo City, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at King's Daughters Hospital.
Survivors include a son, Charles G. Clayton III of Yazoo City; four sisters, Toxie Miles, Doris O'Neal and Audrey Stubbs, all of Wiggins, and Vivian Brumfield of Tylertown; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Clayton.
The family requests memorials be made to French Camp Academy.
MRS. W.R. CANNADY
Retired legal secretary
Services for Mrs. W.R. "Lucille" Cannady will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Bird officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Cannady, 88, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She had been active in the family real estate business and was a legal secretary. She was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church, Garden Study Club, King's Daughters Ernest Workers Circle, Wednesday Bridge Club, and was a past officer of the Ladies Golf Association at Northwood Country Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Weeks and her husband, Charles, of Clinton; a son, Norman A. Cannady and his wife, Peggy, of Pascagoula; five grandchildren, William R. Cannady III, Perri Coffey and Gus Weeks, all of Madison, Nicole Boulton of Gautier and Norman Cannady Jr. of Oxford; five great-grandchildren, Mark Allen Ros, Mary Thomas Boulton and Keylee Boulton, all of Gautier, Hayden Coffey and Peyton Coffey of Madison.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.R. "Bill" Cannady; and a son, William R. "Billy" Cannady Jr.
The family requests memorials be made to Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be William R. Cannady III, Gus Weeks, Norman Cannady Jr., Mark Allen Ros, Danny Coffey, Andy Boulter, Spencer Sublett and Charles Weeks.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
BILLY EDWARD CARTER

Services for Billy Edward Carter will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Causeyville Baptist Church with the Revs. Earnest Allen and Franklin McLelland officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Carter, 56, of Pennington, Ala., died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Union 917 for 38 years, Causeyville Community Club, Causeyville Volunteer Fire Department and Causeyville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta A. Carter of Pennington; a son, James E. Carter and his wife, Nancy, of Meridian; two daughters, Rebecca Ann Moffett and her husband, Glen, of Louisville, Billie Joe Williams and her husband, Steven, of Meridian; four grandchildren, Steven Carter Williams, Jessica Danielle Moffett, Emily Brooks Williams and Travis Brandon Williams; his mother, Lucy A. Carter of Meridian; and a brother, John Donald Carter of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Columbus Carter.
Pallbearers will be Rufus Carney, Ellis Carney Jr., Dennis Ray Cochran, Austin Cochran, Daniel Carney and Chris Carney.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
ALMA MAGGARD

Services for Alma Maggard will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Wilkerson officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Maggard, 97, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include five daughters, Ellena George and Lula Bell Bateman of Meridian, Edna Page of Collinsville, Ruby Davis of House and Jenny Lou Chesney of Little Rock; several step sons and daughters, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
