Man charged with burglary

A Lauderdale County man remained in jail today after being arrested Tuesday in the burglary of a county residence.
Maj. Ward Calhoun with the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department said that Milton Clayton, 42, 10691 Antioch Road in Lauderdale, was charged with one count of burglary.
Calhoun said his department received a 911 call Tuesday afternoon from the Highway 39 North residence.
Calhoun said the owner arrived home and surprised a burglar. He said the homeowner held the suspect at gunpoint with a rifle until help arrived.
