The Question …
Who is the all-time career assist leader for Ole Miss men's basketball?
Star Tracking …

The Enterprise Bulldogs and Northeast Lauderdale Trojans both entered Monday night's matchup coming off wins, but something had to give in the teams' fourth meeting of the season. Monday night's game was by far the closest of the four with Northeast using a 28-22 fourth quarter rally to take the 76-66 victory.
DECATUR The East Central Community College Warriors got just what they needed with Monday's 66-56 MACJC South Division win over Southwest Mississippi in the Bracken-Wood Physical Education Building. The win evened the Warriors' overall record at 11-11 and upped their division mark to 2-7.
JACKSON Millsaps College recently inducted the 2000 Sports Hall of Fame class. Among those recognized was Meridian resident Billy Dale Godfrey. As a two-sport athlete, Godfrey lettered four years in football and three years in baseball.

BAY ST. LOUIS For what seemed like a soccer eternity, coach Pat Ross' Lady Wildcats of Meridian High School played their heart and soul out against undefeated Bay High Wednesday night at St. Stanislaus in the quarterfinals of the girls MHSAA soccer state playoffs. But somehow it still wasn't enough, as the Lad Wildcats lost a heart-breaking 2-1 decision to the Lady Tigers in a shootout.
Ole Miss became the best in the West against the worst team n the Southeastern Conference's Western Division. Junior guard Joezon Darby scored a career-high 32 points Wednesday night and Ole Miss beat LSU 79-73 , to take the West Division lead.

If Wednesday's Meridian Community College-Bossier Parish Cavaliers basketball game had been played in Louisiana the Eagles might be millionaires today. They could have rushed out at halftime, bought a lottery ticket and probably cashed it in Saturday's drawing. That's how well things went for MCC in the final 20 minutes of its Miss-Lou Conference game with BPCC as the Eagles parlayed a slim 36-34 halftime lead into a decisive 26 point 91-65 win with a brilliant second half of basketball.
STARKVILLE Maybe Mississippi State should have considered bringing milk and cookies to the Georgia bench Wednesday night. the atmosphere on the Georgia bench resembled a kindergarten class that had just finished its afternoon snack and was ready to take a mid-day nap. Instead of a Southeastern Conference school that was battling for a respectable season, the Bulldogs seemed ready to lose leisurely, 75-66, to MSU in front of the 5,523 at Humphrey Coliseum.

The Answer …
Sean Tuohy handed out 830 assists in 117 games from 1979-1982. Rod Barnes is second on the list with 456.
Sports Faces …
Brantley Sanderson
Brantley Sanderson has an important job with the Wayne County basketball team. Sanderson keeps the stats for Coach Geary Jackson's boys team.
I've done all 26 games this season" he adds."I keep up with rebounds, steals, assists and blocks."
Keeping stats, though, does have its controversies, mainly with players thinking they have more than what it is shown.
