QUITMAN For Quitman, a 20-point late third quarter lead over Northeast Jones proved to be as secure as a Charles Keating savings and loan Friday night. Only a flurry of Panther free throws kept Northeast Jones from an amazing comeback and gave Quitman a 69-65 win plus the number one seed in its district for tournament play next month.
