UNION Graveside services for Roberta Ivy Gressett will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Newton County Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Warren Hedgepeth officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gressett, 92, of Mesquite, Texas and formerly of Mississippi, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, in Mesquite.
Survivors include son, Raymond Gressett and his wife, Kathryn, of Dallas; daughter, Mary Helen Renner and husband, Robert, of Avon Park, Fla.; four brothers, Cecil, Raymond, John Will and Edwin Ivy; four sisters, Jessie Ruth Lucy, Dorothy Moran, Margaret Moran and Ruby Johnson; daughters-in-law, Zell and LaVerne Gressett; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Gressett; and two sons, Robert and William Gressett.

FLORENCE, Ala.  Services for William (Lefty) Jefferson Gibson will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Green Hill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pettus Cemetery in Lexington. Green Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gibson, 65, of Lexington, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at Highway 101 in Lexington. He was a quality control supervisor for Brown and Root for more than 20 years.
Survivors include a son, Marc Lafferty of Baton Rouge, La.; five daughters, Jennifer Gibson of Lexington, Wanda Atkinson and Sherry Cameron, both of Meridian, Miss. Patty Quinnelly of Athens, and Robin Wright of Monroeville; brother, Jeff Gibson of Pascagoula, Miss.; four sisters, Wanda Hutcherson of Memphis, Dale Bullock of Foundsdale, Sandra Smith of Pennington, and Dolly Ann Morgan of Sweetwater; nine grandchildren, Shane McNeil, Angie Taylor, Jeremy Graham, Scott Quinnelly, Wayne Quinnelly, Brandi Osborn, Anthony Osborn, Alex Lafferty and Ashley Underwood Lafferty; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike Wright, Wayne Quinnelly, Scott Quinnelly, Bob Lenzini, Anthony Osborn and Anthony Gibson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nita Norris Gibson; his parents, James Homer Gibson and Laura Lynn Gibson; brother, James Lester Gibson; and sister, Daisy Lynn Solomon.
Visitation will be today from 6p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Auto Maker for General Motors
Services for Reba C. Stephens will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Gunn officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Stephens, 62, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was an auto maker with General Motors.
Survivors include a sister, Patricia A. Jones and her husband, Lonnie, of Meridian; a brother, Tommy Wayne Wilkins of Meridian; three nieces, Pam Barton of Clinton, Shelley Leslie and Cassandra Cottingham, both of Meridian; two nephews, Bill Pierce and Tommy Dewayne Wilson, both of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Fay Carol Wilkins; and parents, Roy Cecil and Reba Jewel Wilkins.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Bill Pierce, Bill Barton, Tre Barton, Terry Tew, Tommy Dewayne Wilkins and Michael Cottingham.
VIRGINIA MAXINE HARRISON
BUTLER, Ala. Services for Virginia Maxine Harrison will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Russell Wray and Dr. Billy Burge officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Harrison, 61, of Butler, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, in her home.
Survivors include her mother, Flora G. Harrison of Butler and a brother, Raborn Harrison of Dothan.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Alda G. Hobby will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Mann officiating. Burial will be in New Black Jack Cemetery.
Mrs. Hobby, 100, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at Choctaw Residential Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Georgie Lou Lee of Boynton Beach, Fla.; a son, Billy Hobby of Brandon; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
JANIE LOUISE BUNYARD
Services for Janie Louise Bunyard were held Wednesday at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Dr. C.R. Sollie officiating.
Mrs. Bunyard, 79, of Pensacola, Fla., died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002. She was a native of Clarke County.
Survivors include three sons, Gary Bunyard, Bruce Bunyard and his wife, Rannah, and Danny Bunyard and his wife, Pam; a brother, Alfred Ford; four sisters, Irma Shirley, Mary Frances Hughes, Margie McCoy and Sal Sollie; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Mary J. Perry, 102, of Greensboro, Ala., who died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, in Greensboro.
JULIA COLBURN
Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Julia Colburn, 88, of Meridian, who died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, at her residence.
