The sole suspect in an armed robbery at Dixie Pak-A-Sak, 2122 24th Ave., was arrested by Meridian police shortly after the 11 p.m. robbery Thursday.
According to Detective Deano Harper, an eyewitness aided in the investigation that led to the arrest of Anthony Hersey, 36, of 1931 20th Ave. Hersey was arrested at his home.
Harper would not elaborate on whether the suspect fled the scene on foot or in a vehicle, or whether or not a weapon, or money taken, was recovered.
