Hot topic: Cooper development

By Staff
Jan. 17, 2002
Many letters have been published over the last two weeks on a topic that has touched our community: Cooper Land Development's proposed $35 million residential development at Long Creek, including ancillary issues, such as construction of a new municipal golf course at Bonita Lakes.
Due to this demonstration of intense interest, The Meridian Star on Sunday, Jan 27, will devote at least one full page to additional letters on this subject. We invite you to be a part of the effort by sharing your opinion on an issue that many say may help define Meridian's future.
Letters of any length will be considered, and ones that are fairly brief and to the point have the best chance of being published. Even if your letter has already been published, please feel free to write another one. Letters must be received by Thursday, Jan. 24.
For fastest delivery, fax your letters to (601) 485-1275 or e-mail to bbynum@themeridianstar. You may also mail to Letters to the editor, The Meridian Star, P.O. Box 1591, Meridian, MS 39302, or drop off a letter at our offices, 814 22nd Ave.
Be sure to include your name, city of residence and daytime phone number.
