With two stores open and at least two more on the way, the developer of Meridian's newest shopping center said plans are in the works to attract more shops.
The shopping center south of Interstate 20/59 and west of Bonita Lakes Mall is home to a Wal-Mart SuperCenter and an Office Depot. Still under construction are Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse and PetSmart.
Bob Flowers, executive vice president of Mattiace Co. developer for the shopping center said three other stores have signed leases. Flowers declined to name the stores, but said they are part chains.
Flowers, whose company is based in Jackson, said he has had a good experience in developing the Meridian project has been positive since starting work in 2000.
