Mrs. Burkett is the former Heather Sue Clayburn.
Sheena V. Simmons and Micquel D. Miller of Philadelphia announce the birth of a daughter, Baliegh Victoria, on Dec. 16, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Paternal grandparents are Mary Davis and Michael Miller.
Maternal grandparents are Vicky P. Simmons and Frank McCullum Jr.
Amey and Scott Mitchell of Meridian announce the birth of a daughter, Katherine Jane, on Dec. 17, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Mrs. Mitchell is the former Amey Hanzlick.
Nicole and Mike Douglas Sr. of Newton announce the birth of a son, Michael Bayard Douglas Jr., on Dec. 17, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Mrs. Douglas is the former Nicole Jolly.

Mrs. Riggs is the former Angela Henry.
Margo Jones of Hickory announces the birth of a daughter, Ja'Nqutica Carkela, on Dec. 17, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Jonathan and Angie Carraway of Prismatic announce the birth of a daughter, Abigail Elizabeth, on Dec. 17, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Paternal grandparents are Marie R. Carraway and the late Rev. Richard P. Carraway of Rosebud.
Maternal grandparents are H.C. and Bobbye Lynne Dunnam of Prismatic.
Mrs. Carraway is the former Angela Lynne Dunnam.
