Retired mechanic
Services for Henry Ford Johnson will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ricky Carlisle and Leslie Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson, 71, of Pachuta, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, in his son's home. He was a native of Clarke County.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Johnson; six daughters, Libby Robinson, Anita Fay Flow and Jackie Sue Gryner, all of Meridian, Floy Neal of Quitman, Gloria Simpson and Shellia Lewis of Enterprise; a son, Henry Johnson of Pachuta; stepson, Otho Herrington; a special friend, Martha Duncan; four sisters, Agnes Day and Flora Ivy of Alabama, Abbie Parker of Meridian and Elsie Graves of Florida; a brother, Elbert Johnson of Louisiana; 23 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lula Dee and Abb Johnson; his former wife, Marie Johnson; six brothers, two sisters; a special friend, Patsy Hutchinson; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Dwayne Robinson, Lance Robinson, Lewis Simpson, Craig Simpson, John Henry, Max Johnson, Andy Johnson, Randy Johnson, Glenn Lewis, Chris Lewis and Buddy Raines.
Visitation will be Tuesday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

FOREST Services for John Wayne Keen were held Saturday at Lena Baptist Church. Burial was in Lena Cemetery with Ott and Lee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Keen, 53, of Lena, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at Laird's Hospital in Union.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Keen of Lena; five stepsons, Clayton Keen, Michael James and Teddy James, all of Union, Lee James of Linwood and Alvin James of Meridian; two daughters, Renee Keen Bozeman of Union and Ellen Keen of Collinsville; a stepdaughter, Juanita Tatum of Ackerman; two sisters, Dorothy Munn of Little Rock and Bonnie Ray of Union; and four grandchildren.
HERSHEL TUCKER
QUITMAN Graveside services for Hershel Tucker will be held today at 11 a.m. at Stonewall Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Coats officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Tucker, 62, of Quitman, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Tucker of Quitman; six sons, Ray Tucker, DeWayne Tucker and Pee Wee Tucker, all of Homestead, Fla., John Paul Tucker, Jimmy Lee Tucker of Quitman and Brian Tucker; four daughters, Renee Harris and Tanya Tucker of Moody, Ala., Candie Daniels of Maine and Amy Brown of Columbus; a brother, J.W. Tucker and a sister, Ima Gene Pruitt, both of Carbon Hill, Ala.
HELEN WILSON ZITTEROW
QUITMAN Services for Helen Wilson Zitterow will be held today at 2 p.m. at Rolling Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Soesby and Dennis Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Zitterow, 86, of Stonewall, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, John R. Zitterow, a son, Joseph Wilson and a daughter, Wanda Helmy, all of Stonewall; two brothers, Ray Martin of Boston, Mass., and Sammy Martin of Stonewall; two sisters, Bertha Young of Stonewall and Merle Kennedy of Elwood; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services for Opal E. Carson Johnson will be held today at 3 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Coats officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson, 79, a resident of Silverleaf Manor, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the American Legions Women's Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy J. Harris of Meridian; a brother, Billy Haralson and his wife, Barbara, of Conehatta; a sister, Ruth Ezell and her husband, Odell, of Union; grandchildren, Crystal Harris, Everette Harris Jr. and his wife, Susan, all of Meridian, and Albert Combs and his wife, Kathy, of Whynot; several special friends at Silverleaf Manor and Janette Stewart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Albert Combs, Everette Harris Jr., David Joles, Michael King, Odell Ezell and Rock Cheatham.
SAMUEL MOCKBEE
Professor of architecture at Auburn University
Services for Samuel Mockbee will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at The Church of the Mediator in Meridian with the Revs. Jud Meaders and Mike Dobrosky officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Mockbee, 57, of Canton, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, at the University Medical Center.
Mr. Mockbee was a former resident of Meridian. He was the Gresham professor at Auburn University, the Davenport professor at Yale University, the Shure professor at the University of Virginia, the Friedman professor at the University of California- Berkeley and a visiting professor at Harvard University. He won a national AIA honor award for the Cook residence in Oxford, two Record House awards from Architectural Record, was the architect for the Mississippi Pavilion for the 1984 World's Exhibition in New Orleans and won a National Honor Award For Barnard Observatory at the University of Mississippi.
Mr. Mockbee received the Governor's Lifetime Achievement Award and the "Use Your Life Award" given by Oprah's Angel Network on the Oprah Winfrey show. He was a recipient of the MacArthur Fellow given by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
Survivors include his wife, Jacquelyn Johnson Mockbee of Canton; children, Margaret Lee Mockbee, Sarah Ann Mockbee, Carol Covington Mockbee and Julius Johnson Mockbee; and a nephew, Ray Tinsley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Margaret Mockbee; and a sister, Martha Ann Tinsley.
The family requests memorials be made to the Julius Mockbee Education Fund, c/o Ken Barton, P.O. Box 22567, Jackson, MS 39225-2567.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Castle, Randy Bates, Sandy Sandusky, B.B. Archer, Bob Smith, Greg Ainsworth, Coleman Coker, Bill Gordon and D.K. Ruth.
Visitation will be Wednesday beginning at 10 a.m. at the church.
