Lisa Gressett had three people waiting to return Christmas presents when the Wal-Mart SuperCenter opened at 6 this morning.
Gressett, who is a customer service desk clerk, said returns are usually at their heaviest about mid-morning the day after Christmas.
She was busy taking returns and issuing shopping cards for people without receipts. Most items being returned around 7:30 this morning were clothes that were the wrong size.
That's what Kim Busbea was returning. Busbea, a student at the Gooding Institute of Nurse Anesthesia in Panama City, Fla., was in Meridian visiting family for the holidays.
Brad Busbea is overseas with the Mississippi National Guard's 186th Air Refueling Wing. It is the couple's first Christmas apart.
Asked what brought her to Wal-Mart so early, Busbea said she had her niece and nephew with her. They were also in search of after-Christmas bargains.
