Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Carter of Quitman announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Shae, to Raymond Todd Jordan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jordan of Quitman.
The ceremony will take place Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at 5:30 p.m. at Cooper's Chapel United Methodist Church in Quitman.
Miss Carter is the granddaughter of Mrs. Joe E. Collum of Brandon and the late Alfred Sullivan of Laurel; Mrs. C.J. VanArsdall of Gulfport and the late William M. Carter of Laurel.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Quitman High School and received a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from the University of Southern Mississippi. She will complete her master's degree in speech and language pathology at USM in May.
Mr. Jordan is the grandson of Inez Thornhill of Quitman and the late Otis Thornhill, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Chestnut of Quitman.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Quitman High School and received a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is currently a sales representative for Southern Pipe and Supply Company in Birmingham, Ala.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
