    QUITMAN Services for Mary Hegwood Keyes will be held today at 2 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Grady Crowell and Bill Huff officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
    Mrs. Keyes, 84, of Quitman, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital. She lived in Quitman for 65 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Quitman.
    Survivors include two daughters, Jane McLendon of Quitman and Ruth Harrison and her husband, Rabon, of Dothan, Ala.; grandsons, Mike McLendon of Seattle, Jeff McLendon of Houston, Texas, Ian McLendon of Quitman, Chris Harrison and his wife, Lania, of Auburn, Ala., Bill Harrison and his wife, Amy, of Sharpsburg, Ga., and Chad Harrison of Auburn University; four great-grandsons, Kyle McLendon, Judson Harrison, Jordan Harrison and Josh Harrison; and a sister, Bea Huff of Quitman.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Keyes and a great-grandson, Jesse Harrison.
    Visitation will be today beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
    GRADY JOHN

    SEBASTOPOL Services for Grady John will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Pearl River Facility Building with the Rev. Rocky Gilliam officiating. Burial will be in New Cannon Cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. John, 67, of Henning, Tenn., died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at Jackson General Hospital.
    Survivors include his wife, Betty Solomon of Henning; three sons, Willie Solomon of Walnut Grove, Jerry John and Scott John of Memphis, Tenn.; four daughters, Sandra Thompson and Shelly Bell of Henning, Sylvia John of Philadelphia and Maegon John of Memphis; a brother, Farmon Bull Jr. and two sisters, Delores Bell and Rita Faye Denson, all of Philadelphia; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    NOMIE SUSAN SLAYTON EAKES
    Homemaker
    PHILADELPHIA Services for Nomie Susan Slayton Eakes will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at McLain Chapel Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bennie Robertson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Eakes, 91, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at Heartfelt Hospice Rest Care. She was born and raised in Lauderdale County and moved to Philadelphia at an early age. She and her husband were owner and operators of Eakes Grocery and Fruit Stand. Mrs. Eakes was a member of McLain Chapel Pentecostal Church.
    Survivors include three daughters, Annie Lou Eldridge and her husband, Travis, Sybil Waddell and her husband, Leonard, all of Philadelphia, and Doris Janet White and her husband, Jackie, of Meridian; a son, Richard Ivan Eakes and his wife, Barbara, of Owensville, Md.; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Henderson Eakes; a son, Johnny Henderson Eakes; and a grandson, Richard Lawerance Eakes.
    The family requests memorials be made to McLain Chapel Pentecostal Church or the cemetery fund.
    Pallbearers will be Scott Stewart, Jeff May, Larry White, Terry Mark White, Dale Eakes and Wayne McLain.
    Visitation will be today 2 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    LEE ALLEN CLAYTON
    Retired businessman, barber
    Services for Lee Allen Clayton will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Kemper Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Coats officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Clayton, 82, of Meridian, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at Alliance Health Center.
    Survivors include his wife, Audrey Mae Clayton, two sons, Larry Clayton and Jerry Clayton, all of Meridian; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
    Visitation will be today 3 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    LENA MAE ELLINGBURG
    Retired factory worker
    PHILADELPHIA Services for Lena Mae Ellingburg will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel with the Revs. John Stephens and Barron Pilgrim officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
    Mrs. Ellingburg, 65, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, at Madden Memories Personal Care Home.
    Survivors include two daughters, Jessie Mae Ladd and Kathy D. Ladd, a stepson, John Ellingburg, two sisters, Margie Jayroe and Nell Ryals, all of Philadelphia; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Ellingburg.
    Visitation will be today beginning at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
    VERNA LEE COTTON
    Retired
    Services for Verna Lee Cotton will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Keys Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. C.W. Wash officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Porterville with Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Ms. Cotton, 74, of Meridian, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001, in Meridian.
    Survivors include three daughters, Deloris Mays and Shirley Hubbard of Chicago, Carolyn Cotton of Meridian; two sons, Willie Cotton of Meridian and Andy Cotton of Dallas; sisters, Alvadie Redrick of Chicago, Marjorie Mullins of New Orleans, Viola Morgan of Forest, Ruby Phillips of Memphis, Tenn., Teresa Macklin of Meridian and Willie Mae Cotton of Gary, Ind.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be Thursday 2 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    ROBERT JACKSON JR.
    Truck driver
    Services for Robert Jackson Jr. will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie B. Cryer officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
    Mr. Jackson, 47, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, Wyo. He was a truck driver for Hotel and Restaurant Supply.
    Survivors include his former wife, Linda Faye Jackson, three sons, Derrick Jackson, Cedric McNeil and Brodrick McNeil, a daughter, Jolanda McNeil, three sisters, Jessie Dell Billups and her husband, T.C., Georgia Mae Conley and Lela Mae Jackson, all of Meridian; one grandchild and several other relatives.
    Visitation will be Thursday 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
