The Home Builders Association of Mississippi recently announced its winners of the Best in Mississippi Building and Remodeling Awards, recognizing Donnie Massey of D&H Construction in Meridian as a category winner. Massey currently serves as president of the state association.
Massey won the Single-Family New Construction more than 2,500 square feet custom home category for his entry, the "Broome Residence." This beautiful 4,270 square foot home is made of painted brick, coined corners and copper tops that cover the front entrance and dormers. A patio extends across the back of the house and is partly shaded with a wooden arbor.
Upon entering the foyer, the eye is led throughout the downstairs rooms as well as up the beautifully crafted wrought iron staircase. The centrally located family room is adorned with deep crown molding, a custom-built mantle with dark marble, arched bookcase, and red oak hardwood floors.
The Best in Mississippi Building and Remodeling Awards are sponsored by HBAM, a 3,600-member statewide trade association that serves as the voice of the Mississippi housing industry. The competition honors outstanding work of the state's builders and remodelers.
