Lady Wildcats remain undefeated

The Meridian High Lady Wildcats held on to their undefeated record Friday with a 84-73 win over Pensacola in prep hoops action.
Leading scorers for the game were Ericka Starks with 17 points, Tijwana Collins with 15, Genice Terry with 15, and Cantea Brown with 12.
The Lady Cats are in New Orleans participating in the Del Gado Classic. They face off Saturday with Bishop State.
South Leake Girls 56
Clarkdale 54
The Clarkdale Lady Bulldogs dropped a close 56-54 game to South Leake in overtime Friday night.
Clarkdale was up by on with three seconds left in the game when South Leake was fouled and made one free throw to sent it into overtime.
Leading scorers for South Leake were Kia Alexander with 17 points and Tierra Young with 16.
Clarkdale was led by Tamara Brown with 19 points and 15 rebounds, while Felicia Kirksey had 18 points.
The Lady Bulldogs fell to 5-8 overall.

Clarkdale 65
The Bulldogs get pounded 82-65 by South Leake Friday night. Leading scorers for South Leake were DeAnthony Ealy with 19 points, Mark Gray with 12, and Shevlon Ellis with 12.
Clarkdale was led by Brandon Mabry with 26 points and Bryant Gaddis with 17.
Mendenhall Girls 50
Quitman 49
Mendenahll barely edged by the Lady Panthers Friday night by a 50-49 score.
The leading scorer for Mendenhall was Shenika McAfee with 12 points.
Quitman was led by Shaquilla Mack with 13 points and Shalanda Carter with 13.
Wayne County Boys 68
Forest Hill 49
Wayne County laid down a decisive win over Forest Hill Friday with a 68-49 win.
Wayne was led by Dietric Slater with a big 26 points followed by John Gray with 17. They stand undefeated at 7-0.
Sumter Acad. Girls 41
South Choctaw 35
Sumter Academy took South Choctaw to through two overtimes before beating them 41-35.
Leading scorers for Sumter were Jess Chambless with 10 points and 15 rebounds. She was followed by Natalie Fox with 10 points.
Heidelberg Girls 67
Southeast 51
The Southeast Lady Tigers dropped a 67-51 game to Heidelberg Friday dropping them to 9-3 overall.
Leading scorers for the LAdy Tigers were Lesley Ruffin with 15 points and Kenitta Cooley with 10.
