Parten, Morris

Joe and Rachel Lindsey of Grove Hill, Ala., and Ronnie and Melanie Parten of Whynot announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Gaye Parten of Grove Hill, to Brian David Morris of Hattiesburg, son of Hattie Morris of Jackson.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, at 10 a.m. at Magnolia Restaurant in Grove Hill.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Coleman Davis of Pennington, Ala., Mr. and Mrs. Joseph P. Lindsey Sr. of Grove Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Harrison of Snell and the late Mr. and Mrs. John H. Parten of Nanafalia, Ala.
Miss Parten is a graduate of Clarke County High School in Grove Hill. She is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a graduate of the Louis F. Garland Fire Academy in San Angelo, Texas.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Morris of Donaldsville, La.; Lela Williams of Petal and the late J.T. Williams.
Mr. Morris attended Petal High School and the University of Southern Mississippi. He is currently serving in the U.S. Army National Guard where he is specializing in computer software analysis. He is stationed at Fort Benning, Ga.
