50th anniversary
The children of Ralph and Geneva Hurley will host a reception on Sunday, Nov. 18, to celebrate their parents' 50th anniversary. The event will be held in the fellowship hall at Rock Creek Baptist Church from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. The couple was married Nov. 17, 1951, in Meridian. Family and friends are invited to attend.
40th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Edward N. Sheely Jr. celebrated their 40th anniversary on Nov. 10. They were married at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Meridian. The couple has one son, Edward N. Sheely III and his wife, Melanie, and a daughter, Laura Ann Davis and her husband, Rick, all of Meridian; and five grandchildren. Mrs. Sheely is the former Emily J. Gault of Meridian.
