Hand, Thrash

Laura Thrash and Randall Hand, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Cliff Pace officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Alton L. Thrash and Mr. and Mrs. Larry E. Hand, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. Preston Thrash; the late James E. Green and the late Susie H. Swain.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Carden and Mr. and Mrs. Ehrman Hand, all of Jemison, Ala.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Michael Gibson, pianist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal white gown enhanced with off-the-shoulder cap sleeves and a V-shaped neckline. The bodice was inlaid with flower appliques and the chapel-length train fell from a natural waistline. Her waist-length veil was attached to a headpiece of pearls and flowers. She also wore her maternal grandmother's diamond necklace.
Lisa Powell of Collinsville attended her sister as matron of honor. Other attendants were LeAnn Oliver of Little Rock and Missy Laird of Collinsville.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Jeremy Caton of Meridian and Patrick Neal of Monroe, La. Ushers were Rob Fazell of Meridian and Issac Alphonso of Starkville.
Program attendant was Kim Freeman.
A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Karen Dean, Sandy Green, Lina Green, Ellen Walker, Gayle Davis and Sue Smith.
After a honeymoon in Orlando, Fla., the couple resides in Starkville.
