With more than 40 percent of the U.S. adult population single, hundreds of books have been written on the subject.
Most focus on how and where to find a mate. But in her new book "Single and Anointed," Butler native A. Necole Halsell addresses how to live single according to the word of God.
A licensed minister, Halsell is single, yet acknowledges Jesus as her husband, her lover and her Lord.
How to know when you are ready for marriage.
What God's word says about dating.
What it means to be single according to the world and according to the word of God.
What it means to be anointed.
What it means to be unequally yoked.
The author explains why it is important to "know who you are and what your are called to do in Christ Jesus" before entering marriage.
Halsell is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Ella Halsell. A 1990 graduate of Choctaw County High School, she received a bachelor of science degree in management information systems and a minor in computer science from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. She is currently a client server analyst for Total Systems Services.
