SE Lady Tigers claim Tip Off title

The vocal Southeast head coach, Joe Miller, watched as his 4-0 Lady Tigers claimed the title for the Tip Off Classic Saturday night at the Clarkdale Attendace Center Gym.
The Lady Tigers won the game 74-62 over the homestanding Lady Bulldogs of Clarkdale.
The Lady Bulldogs sported a two-point lead after the first quarter, but could not hold on for the win.
The Lady Bulldogs had troble in-bounding the ball, and it cost them points they would have need down the road.
Southeast regained the lead early in the second quarter, scoring 21 points compared to 15 for Clarkdale.
The Lady Tigers were led in scoring by Samantha Smith, with 20 points.
Southeast added 28 points in the final two quarters to close out the Lady Bulldogs 74-62.
The Lady Tigers were led in scoring by Smith 20, Ebony Moore 15, Kenitta Cooley 14, and LaShondra Hall added 11.
Clarkdale was led in scoring by Felicia Kirksey with 20, Tamra Brown 18, and Danielle Gaddis added 10.
Both teams are preparing to play in the County Tournament held at the Ivy Sports Center on the campus of Meridian Community College.
Newton County 56
Enterprise 44
Newton County came to Clarkdale, and literally dominated the Tip-Off Classic, by knocking off Enterprise 73-32.
Newton County scored 18 points to open the game, and never looked back, as they scored 55 more points to trample over Enterprise.
Newton County sported a 57-25 lead at halftime, and they out scored the Bulldogs by 20 in the second half of play.
The 2-0 Cougars were led in scoring by Tony Smith 22, Al Willis 14, Richardo Alcanter 12, and james Broach added 10.
The 1-2 Bulldogs were led in scoring by Cory Boggan 13, and Mitchell burns dropped eight for the Dogs.
Newton County will cancel there up coming games due to footbal playoffs. Enterprise will look to Mize for revenge next Tuesday night.
