Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church will host a service of Praise in Song and Word Sunday beginning at 6 p.m.
The service will be led by Connie Shelton, the executive director of the Methodist Hour, seen weekly on WTOK. The public is invited to attend. The church is on Highway 145 South.
JACKSON A Gaither Homecoming Musical Spectacular will be presented Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Mississippi Coliseum.
Lead by Christian recording artist Bill Gaither, the concert will feature many of Christian music's most popular names, including The Gaither Vocal Band, The Martins, Anthony Burger, Jake Hess, Talley Trio, Ivan Parker, Janet Paschal, The Easters, Ben Speer, Jessy Dixon, Kevin Williams, Aaron Wilburn, The Hoppers, Russ Taff, Lynda Randle, Buddy Greene and Allison Durham Speer.
Tickets are available at the Mississippi Coliseum Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets, including all B-Bop Records. All seats are reserved. Tickets are $19.50, advance; $28.50, Artist Circle (limited number available); and $16.50, senior citizens 60 and over and children 2-12.
Groups of 20 or more receive a special discount rate of $16.50, plus two complementary tickets with each group order. Group tickets must be purchased at the Coliseum Box Office or through mail order. The Missionary Society of Saint John Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate "World Day of Prayer Breakfast" today at 8:30 a.m. Sisters will be praying for causes that affect all of us. The public is invited to attend.
A Mass Choir Concert featuring vocalists from churches in East Mississippi and West Alabama will be held at 6 p.m. at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church.

Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church in Bailey will host "Celebrate and Worship Through Song" today at 7 p.m.

SUNDAY
The Sweet Spirits Inspirational Choir in conjunction with the Youth Department of St. Paul United Methodist Church will host the 13th Annual Friends and Family Day worship service at 10:45 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
At 5 p.m., The Black Voices Gospel Choir of Mississippi State University will be in concert.

LAUDERDALE First Baptist Church of Lauderdale's annual homecoming celebration will be at 11 a.m. "One Nation, Under God" will be the patriotic theme.
Guest speaker will be the Rev. Mike Russell, former pastor. A covered dish fellowship meal will be served following the morning worship service. Former members, friends, family and others are encouraged to attend.
The church is at 3659 Lauderdale Road.
The members of the Singleton-Gates Circle of St. John Missionary Baptist Church will present their annual pre-Thanksgiving service at 5 p.m.
The Rev. William Harper, pastor of Savannah Grove Baptist Church, will present the seasonal message. Music will be provided by choirs from Savannah Grove and East Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, as well as St. John's W.C. Griffin Singers.

RIDERWOOD, Ala. The Seven Seals Program will be at 6 p.m. at Wahalak Baptist Church.
