If some of the decorations look familiar, there is a reason. While going through some boxes, tour organizers discovered decorations from tours of the past that were still in good shape.
More of the older decorations will be used on several of the 18 Christmas trees that will be set up for the tour. In addition to the decorated trees, Santa's Workshop will be filled with homemade breads, cakes, cookies and pies baked daily. Other items on sale include handmade crafts.
Guided tours will be available throughout the week from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and on Sunday from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. A highlight will be a candlelight tour on Thursday, Dec. 6, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.
The cost of the tour is $8 for adults and $2 for children.
The Trees of Christmas tour is a fund-raiser for The Meridian Restoration Foundation, which owns and maintains Merrehope and the F.W. Williams House.
