40th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Latham celebrated their 40th anniversary on Oct. 20, 2001. The couple was married at Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church by the Rev. Jimmy Seale. Marion Lee Grayson served as best man and Jean Chappell Hayes served as maid of honor. The Latham's live in Clarke County and have one daughter, Teresa Williamson. Mrs. Latham is the former Janell Rickles of Meridian.
50th anniversary
John S. and Helen Dawkins celebrated their 50th anniversary on Oct. 6, 2001. They were honored with a dinner in the home of their daughter, Sharon Chalk and her husband, Franklin. The couple has two grandchildren, Franklin Chalk Jr. and Stacey Florey and her husband, Scotty; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Adeline Florey.
