Broadmoor businesses hold fund-raiser

By By Brian Harper/The Meridian Star
Nov. 2, 2001
The Mane Attraction and Troy Brand Furniture will host a "cut-a-thon" Saturday to raise money for Hope Village for Children, a home for abused and neglected children in Meridian.
The day-long event will happen outside B.J.'s Alley in Broadmoor Shopping Center.
Six hairdressers from The Mane Attraction will cut hair at B.J.'s Alley for a $10 minimum donation.
All the proceeds from haircuts and concessions will be donated to Hope Village for Children. Five percent of Troy Brand Furniture's sales Saturday will also go to the children's home.
The event starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m.
The day also features self-defense demonstrations by Tae Kwon Do Plus. Drinks, popcorn, cotton candy and balloons will be available and organizers encourage everyone to come and support Hope Village for Children.
For more information about Hope Village for Children and upcoming events, call Debbie Ford at (601) 553-8660.
